We have decided to drop E-Gold as a processor primarily due to industry pressure.  At this point in time we are unaffected by E-Gold’s actions as well as anything that may happen to them in the future.  If you had intended to make a purchase with E-Gold, please contact me and I will refer you to a third party to have your E-Gold moved into one of our other processor accounts.  Please make sure to contact me if you have any questions.

Negativity Doesn’t have to be Negative

Posted in Articles by premiumsurfing on the May 29, 2007

Many people in the surfing community believe in a “no-negativity” policy.  They believe guarding against it can avoid the stereotypical mass exodus that pushes a program into a liquidity crunch.  Two years ago I worked for a company whose members believed in no negativity and sales went to zero anyway.  This company didn’t just threaten to take away their unhappy customers’ account balances like some now-defunct advertising sites have done in the past – it actually sued them!  Ultimately, the only growth experienced was in the size of the legal bills.

I have a better solution.  Every time someone has an issue with your program, most of the negativity can be overcome with solid customer support.  The problem with most of the companies in our industry is that they simply don’t step up and do what their customers require of them.  If you own an advertising company and you can’t answer all of the support requests, hire someone.  If you can’t afford to, perhaps you can enlist a friend to help you.  Team up with other program owners and share a support system.  If all else fails, call your mother – even if she lives in a different state.  Just get it done.

I personally respond to every single question that comes in.  Many of my members have my personal cell phone number.  I don’t have a business line because if I did, I may only feel inclined to answer it during business hours.  I work as hard as I can to make sure every single one of my customers is happy and informed and if I fail, negativity is the only way I’ll know.

When you deal with negativity correctly, positive things happen – positive things that wouldn’t have happened otherwise.

Everything is going well at Premium Surfing and the site is continuing to grow.  We are considering dropping E-Gold as a processor and I would really appreciate hearing some opinions about this.  I personally have no problem taking E-Gold because I want to make Premium Surfing as convenient for everyone to use as I can, but many people in the industry feel it is a liability that could potentially affect an advertising site’s stability if it runs into trouble.

If E-Gold ever vanishes I will simply pay the E-Gold users with a different processor, just like I did when Tri-Star Money Changers changed their Terms of Service.  It really wouldn’t be an issue.  I suppose my main concern is that people will feel it is an issue and be worried about stability, and I’m happy to oblige if that’s what it takes to make people feel better.  So, is E-Gold in or out?  Send me an e-mail and let me know!

PremiumSurfingPro.com launches today!

Posted in News and Updates by premiumsurfing on the May 21, 2007

We’ve launched a new site for customers who would like to buy more advertising than the $5000 maximum in Premium Surfing will allow.  The site has the same no-fee structure, and you can earn 3% for 36 days with the rebate program.  While this will not be a private program (no promotion restrictions), it will not be as actively advertised as Premium Surfing as its customer base will be significantly smaller and more exclusive.

We have a brand new blog!

Posted in News and Updates by premiumsurfing on the May 16, 2007

Welcome to the blog!  From now on, I will be using this space to keep everyone up to date on the latest Premium Surfing news.  Today’s updates are posted below:

There was a glitch a few days ago that affected purchases through AlertPay.  For part of the day, upgrades with AlertPay were not available.  As far as I know, only one person was affected by this.  If anyone experiences any more trouble, please send me an e-mail and I will manually add your purchase to your account.

In preparation for the launch of the new program, the look of Premium Surfing’s website is being updated.  Please send me an e-mail and let me know what you think of the design!

As always, let me know if you have any comments or suggestions.  In fact, feel free to post your comments below (though they will be publicly viewable).  Thanks again for your support!
